Forging Ahead with an Alternative Walkathon

April 9, 2020

The charities need us now, more than ever!

The Chubu Walkathon and International Charity Festival has always been the way Nagoya's foreign population has given back to this vibrant community we love, by highlighting and supporting the great work of deserving local charitable organizations.

Over the past 28 years, we have done just that, but given the growing concerns around COVID-19, the committee has made the difficult decision to change the event this year. The good news is we are reimagining the 29th Annual Walkathon as a virtual event. Our priority of raising money for local charities has not changed. In fact, in light of the current situation, their need has never been greater.

今年のウォーカソン、趣向転換

Plans are in the works for this reconfigured event to take place on the original date, May 24, 2020. Please check this website and our social media platforms for announcements regarding this upcoming virtual community event. With your help, we can make the 29th Annual Walkathon every bit as successful for our charities as past events! And fun, too! Stay tuned!
