Twenty Million Yen Raised for Local Charities

A presentation ceremony was held for the 2016 Chubu Walkathon Charity Fund on October 5, 2016 at Nagoya International School (NIS) as organized by NIS students.

Through the efforts of the International Community and its many local supporters, as well as the 25-25 initiative of the 25th annual Chubu Walkathon, the 2016 Chubu Walkathon was able to donate 10 million yen to 29 local charities and an additional 10 million yen to the Chubu Children's Fund.

Two Nagoya craft breweries - Hyappa Brews and Tallboys Brewing - are producing special beers to support local charities. ¥100 from every beer sold will be donated to organizations serving children in need throughout the community.
